Coral Bay Resort

// Concept Design

Located on Rose Island, off the coast of the Bahamas, the concept for this luxury resort comes from the beautiful reefs nearby with simple yet organic roof shapes that emulate the various species of coral.

The design makes use of 3 simple modular elements that are based on local Bahaman vernacular architecture:

  1. Simple timber roof structures covered in palm leaves

  2. Curvilinear earth walls

  3. Raised timber floor decking

The design has 3 main building typologies, the marina building, the beach club, and the accommodation suits, all of which have a different identity derived from the overall architectural language of the project.
