At Studio S+RK, we believe in research-led sustainable design to create a contemporary unique architecture that is deeply contextual, building on the traditions of the past, using the knowledge of the present, to provide lasting spaces for the future.

Process

All our projects begin with thorough research and analysis of every aspect of the site and the client’s needs and based on our findings we formulate a brief.

Then we begin sketching ideas about the project’s plans, sections & elevations while simultaneously testing them as massings on-site, via the use of physical &/or digital models, creating multiple options in the process.

Finally, a massing is then chosen based on multiple factors, the chief of which is its environmental impact. After that, we begin articulating this mass based on an architectural language we develop based on the contextual research we conducted at the beginning of the project, regarding the site’s vernacular architecture.

Throughout this outlined process we are in constant conversation with the client, the consultant team & various stakeholders ensuring that the design development is a collaborative effort.
