// Concept Design

The concept for our design stems from the site’s location near the Mokattam plateau. Being inspired by the location and history of our project’s locale our concept was to create a contemporary take on the nearby historic buildings of Islamic Cairo.

However, we thought of integrating our design further with its location by having the feeling of being carved from the side of a mountain with extremely rough stone cladding to provide us with this effect
