Songdo Public Library

//Competition Entry

This project for a public library in Songdo, Korea, proposes wrapping a simple glass cube of floating floorplates with a continuous perforated brise-soleil that wraps all along the building’s 4 facades and parts, like a curtain, to reveal keyframed views to the outside.

The design is a contemporary take on the traditional Korean Hanok style of architecture, reinterpreted with contemporary materials & building techniques in order to sit within the ultramodern urban fabric of the sight.
